About Newarke Houses Museum
The Newarke Houses Museum is an open historical center in Leicester, England. It fuses the gallery of the Royal Leicestershire Regiment, and has a scope of displays delineating post-medieval and contemporary Leicester.
It possesses two structures: Wyggeston's Chantry House constructed around 1511, and Skeffington House worked in the seventeenth century, near the fifteenth century Magazine Gateway and inside the regions of the medieval 'Newarke', the 'New Work' of Henry of Grosmont, first Duke of Lancaster.
Newarke Houses historical center and gardens incorporates the exhibition hall of the Royal Leicestershire Regiment. The repair of the historical center was subsidized by a £1 million Heritage Lottery Fund concede and a further £250,000 from Royal Leicestershire Regimental Association which we additionally added to.
