Mr Straws House
About Mr Straws House
Mr. Straw's House is a National Trust property in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom. The Edwardian semi-segregated house and its substance have remained to a great extent unaltered since the 1920s. It opened to the general population in 1993. The Edwardian semi-separated house, worked in 1905 and situated on Blyth Grove in Worksop, was the living arrangement of the Straw family. William Straw ran a lucrative basic need and seed organization. He had two kids, Walter and William Jr., with spouse Florence, the little girl of a well-off butcher.
They moved from the level over the shop into the house in 1923, naming it "Endcliffe Villa". Florence rapidly got the chance to chip away at the design of her new house. The period highlights incorporate designed floor coverings, thick window ornaments, and dull, overwhelming backdrops that were prominent at the time. Oil sketches housed in plated outlines embellish the dividers, however none of the things found in the house are classed as being significant or especially rare.
