Mowbray Park
About Mowbray Park
Mowbray Park is a park in the focal point of Sunderland, Tyne, and Wear, Britain.
It was found a couple of hundred yards from the bustling lanes of Holmeside and Fawcett Road and circumscribed by Sunderland Historical center and Winter Patio nurseries toward the north, Burdon Street toward the west, Toward Street toward the east and Stop Street toward the south.
The recreation center was voted best in England in 2008. The cast press water fountain was developed by Glenfield and Kennedy of Kilmarnock and raised in 1878 by the Manchester Solidarity of Oddfellows.
It is a commemoration to William Corridor, who was the most seasoned Oddfellow in the North of Britain when he passed on, matured 75, in 1876. The domed overhang has elaborate foliage and four cups curves on the segments, which shield the bollard-formed water fountain.
