It is a 2.3 hectare Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade II, in Mill Hill in the London Borough of Barnet.
The hold takes after the course of the Highgate to Edgware line, shut in 1964,3 of the Edgware, Highgate and London Railway, between Dean's Lane and Bunns Lane.
Its vast majority, between Dean's Lane and a short pathway from The Meads, is a shut site oversaw by the London Wildlife Trust. It is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The staying stretch to Bunns Lane outskirts Lyndhurst Park. This isn't overseen and extremely congested.
The save is lush, with a few territories of unpleasant field and herbs, and countless. The prairie has an assortment of wild blossoms including burnet saxifrage and the uncommon awesome burnet.
