In 1163 the manor and home of Marks lobby were yielded to the Markshall family resulting to being reallocated from Hugh de Essex. They dropped in the Markshall family until the point that the house was sold to John Cole, who updated parts of the house.
A couple of ages later it go to Philip Honywood and a while later by methods for his cousin, Filmer Honywood, the MP for Kent to Frances Emma, who passed on unmarried at Marks Hall in 1895. During the Second World War, Earls Colne Airfield depended on the edge of the deer stop and an extraordinary piece of the property requested for used as the home office for different close-by runways. The 97th Bombardment Wing headquarters was at first arranged at the domain. By 1949, the estate was dismissed and said to be in a hazardous state, and was demolished in 1950.
