Killerton
About Killerton
A family home and an incredible home. Wonderful scene plant encompassed by parkland with fine eighteenth century house. Sir Richard Acland did only that with his Killerton Estate when he offered it to the National Trust in 1944. Today, you'll locate a benevolent Georgian house set in 2,600 hectares 6,400 sections of land of working farmland, woods, parkland, cabins and plantations.
There's a lot of quiet space in the wonderful garden, excellent year-round with rhododendrons, magnolias, champion trees and formal yards. You can investigate winding ways, climb a terminated fountain of liquid magma, find an Iron Age slope stronghold and take in far off perspectives towards Dartmoor. Off the beaten track, you can find three of Killerton's concealed jewels. Settled by the River Clyst sits Clyston Mill, a working watermill.
