Jesmond Parish Church
About Jesmond Parish Church
Jesmond Area Church is a parish church in the Congregation of Britain arranged in Brandling Town in the Jesmond suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne, Britain. The congregation's legitimate name is the Clayton Commemoration Church and is unordinary among Anglican ward places of worship in not being named after either a holy person who shows up in the congregation's schedule or a man of the Trinity. This mirrors the congregation's traditionalist Zealous roots. The congregation houses a pipe organ by the striking manufacturer James Jepson Binns of Leeds which dates from 1913. It contains pipework from an organ by T. C. Lewis of 1895.
A determination of the organ can be found on the National Pipe Organ Enlist. Jesmond Ward Church is a traditionalist outreaching Anglican Church of roughly 1,100 individuals. At present the initiative group of the congregation incorporates David Holloway vicar since 1973, Jonathan Pryke, Jonathan Redfearn, Ian Garrett and Alan Munden. The congregation is noted for its proclaiming, which plans to be interpretive and evangelistic.
