About Inverurie
Inverurie is a Royal Burgh and town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland at the conjunction of the waterways Ury and Don, around 16 miles 26 km north west of Aberdeen on the A96 street and is served by Inverurie railroad station on the Aberdeen to Inverness Line. The closest air terminal is Aberdeen Airport at Dyce. Inverurie is said to have been established by David of Huntingdon, Earl of the Garioch, sibling of Malcolm IV, extraordinary incredible granddad of Robert the Bruce who crushed John Comyn, third Earl of Buchan adjacent at the Battle of Barra in May, 1308. You can come and explore this place.
The religious establishment pre-dates this by 5 centuries with the foundation of the Kirk of Inverurie presently known as St Andrew's Parish Church. Be that as it may, the town's most punctual known sanction dates from 1558, with its advanced improvement occurring after the working of the Aberdeenshire Canal connecting Port Elphinstone with Aberdeen Harbor in 1806. The Inverurie Locomotive Works 1905– 1969 prompted an unassuming increment in size and flourishing, yet it was not until the "Oil Boom" of the last quarter of the 20th century that the town formed into quite a bit of its present shape.
