About Hoghton Tower
It takes its name from the de Hoghton family, its verifiable proprietors since in any event the twelfth century. Hoghton Tower is an invigorated home situated around 0.7 miles 1 km toward the east of the town of Hoghton, Lancashire, England, and remaining on a ridge site on the most elevated point in the territory. The present house dates from around 1560– 65.
It was harmed amid the Civil War and accordingly wound up abandoned, yet was revamped and reached out in the vicinity of 1862 and 1901. The house is recorded in Grade I, just like the Great Barn in its grounds, which is dated 1692. Additionally in the grounds are two structures recorded at Grade II.
