About Hills AONB

The Shropshire Hills place, in the English county of Shropshire, is distinct as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty AONB. It is placed inside the south of the county, extending to its border with Wales. Designated in 1958, the area encompasses 802 rectangular kilometres of land in the main in south-west Shropshire, taking its call from the upland location of the Shropshire Hills.
