About Herne Bay
Herne Bay is a seashore metropolis in Kent, South East England, with a population of 38,563. On the south coast of the Thames Estuary, it's miles 11 km north of Canterbury and 8 km east of Whitstable. It neighbours the historical villages of Herne and Reculver and is part of the City of Canterbury local authorities district. Herne Bay's seafront is domestic to the sector's first freestanding purpose-constructed Clock Tower, built in 1837; from the overdue Victorian duration till 1978, the metropolis had the second one-longest pier within the United Kingdom.
