About Harlow Town Park
Harlow Town Park is a 164 section of land stop situated in Harlow, Essex, England. The recreation center incorporates Spurriers House, Pets' Corner, Bandstand, aventure play area, Water Garden, Newfoundland Garden, Peace Wood, Lookout Hill, paddling pool, outside rec center, Harlow skatepark and showground. In the mid 19th century the land around what is presently Harlow Town Park was rural. In 1837 a tithe was allowed for farmhouse and residence in what moved toward becoming Spurriers Farm. Somewhere in the range of c.1861 and c.1868 William Cox 1817-1889 a previous Member of Parliament MP for Finsbury, London had a house manufactured called Spurriers House.
Cox and his significant other Emma Cox, nee Angell lived in the house until the point that William Cox's passing in 1889 matured 72. The house was left to Emma in his will who kept on living in the house until her demise in 1895. Emma Cox went out to her old maid sister Mary Ann Angell, who kicked the bucket in 1906. In 1906 Lizzie Mewburn, nee Angell and her significant other William Bowyer Chiltern Mewburn lived in the house. They emigrated to British Columbia for a brief span where William maintained an independent company and Lizzie filled in as a professional piano player.William Angell Mewburn and his better half Olive inhabited Spurriers House in the mid 1930s.
