It is an Anglican house of God in the city of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England. The house of prayer has its starting points in AD 672 when St Etheldreda fabricated a monastery church. Until the point that the Reformation it was the Church of St Etheldreda and St Peter, and soon thereafter it was refounded as the Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Ely, proceeding as the foremost church of the Diocese of Ely, in Cambridgeshire.
The plan of the building is cruciform cross-formed, with an additional transept at the western end.It is worked from stone quarried from Barnack in Northamptonshire acquired from Peterborough Abbey, whose grounds consolidated the quarries, for 8000 eels for each year that is with improving segments cut from Purbeck Marble and adjacent clunch.
