About Edenbridge
Edenbridge is a town and common ward in the Sevenoaks region of Kent, England. Its name gets from Old English Eadhelmsbrigge signifying "Eadhelm's Bridge". It is situated on the Kent/Surrey verge on the upper floodplain of the River Medway and gives its name to the last's tributary, the River Eden. The town has a populace of around 9,000. The old piece of the town developed along a segment of the generally neglected Roman street, the London to Lewes Way at the point where it crossed the river. Iron slag from iron refining in the encompassing zone was utilized in building the road. In the Middle Ages it turned into a focal point of the Wealden press industry.

With the happening to the railroads the town extended and the network of Marlpit Hill, north of the first settlement, is currently part of the town. After ten years in 1968, notwithstanding the Eden having been dug to keep a similar event, the town was by and by overwhelmed after substantial tempests.
