Dunham Massey Hall, normally referred to just as the Dunham Massey, is an English nation house in the ward of Dunham Massey in the region of Trafford, close Altrincham, Greater Manchester. It is currently a National Trust property, open to the public. The stately home was assigned a Grade One recorded expanding on 5 March 1959. It has been possessed by the National Trust since the demise of the tenth and last Earl of Stamford in 1976. Over 340,000 individuals visited the house in 2014/15, putting it in the ten most famous National Trust houses.
Dunham Massey was worked in the mid 17th ?century by the Earls of Warrington, going to the Earls of Stamford by legacy; the family still live in part of the house. There were noteworthy modifications, particularly inside, toward the beginning of the twentieth century. It has notable formal patio nurseries and a deer stop. It was once in the past in the old area of Bowdon, Cheshire. There is a fine gathering of oil works of art and watercolors. The alleviation wood-cutting of the Crucifixion by Grinling Gibbons, which hangs in the Library, is the most punctual known work by the seventeenth century wood carver.
