Detling Hill
About Detling Hill
The regular southern slope of the North Downs is found here, and produces sensational perspectives over the Low Weald. Detling Hill is a slope shaping piece of the North Downs in Kent, north-east of Maidstone, and is arranged in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The North Downs Way goes along the slope only south of the summit.
The territory around the summit has as of late turned into the White Horse Wood, where more than 20,000 trees oak, fiery debris, silver birch, wild cherry and crab apple have been planted, and five hectares have been seeded to make a zone of open meadow. The trig point has been made the centerpiece of a view-discoverer; the most astounding point is a couple of hundred meters away toward the north-west.
