About Dads Army Museum

The Dad's Army Museum is a museum located in Cage Lane in Thetford in Norfolk dedicated to the popular BBC comedy series Dad's Army, many of the outdoor locations for which were filmed in the local area. The gallery is housed in the old fire station at the back of Thetford Guildhall, which itself remained in for Walmington-on-Sea Town Hall in a few of the scenes. It is controlled by volunteers who, consistently, go to a huge number occasions in East Anglia with Jones' van. Thetford Guildhall, where the exhibition hall is based, highlighted in the 1972 scene Time On My Hands of Dad's Army, in which a German Luftwaffe pilot dangled from the clock tower when his parachute moved toward becoming gotten in the clock's hands.

The Guildhall was likewise utilized in the 1974 scene The Captain's Car. The Dad's Army Museum opened in December 2007 and incorporates a reproduction of Captain Mainwaring's congregation corridor office, a few showcase territories, a shop and the Marigold Tea Room. The exhibition hall shows numerous interesting photos alongside other memorabilia and things associated with the arrangement.
