Creag Meagaidh National Nature Save is a place that is known for changes. It ascends from the shores of Loch Laggan, 250m above ocean level, to the summit of Creag Meagaidh itself, remaining at a great 1130m. Its plant groups go from lochshore vegetation to the elevated heaths of the summit edge, where snow hitting, dotterel and mountain rabbit live.

It sits on the spine of Scotland, at the watershed amongst east and west, yet with an atmosphere and scene of its own. Go for a walk by the stream, look for goldfinches and deer, or investigate the lochan at Coire Ardair for fabulous perspectives of Creag Meagaidh's great precipices.
