About Chalkwell
Chalkwell is a territory in the Southend on Sea precinct and unitary region in Essex, England. It shapes some portion of the developed territory of Southend on Sea and is incorporated into the Westcliff-on-Sea post town. The Crow Stone, which remains on the mud on the Thames Estuary foreshore inverse the finish of Chalkwell Avenue, denotes the farthest point of the Port of London Authority's locale. It was raised in 1837 and supplanted a littler stone, dating from 1755. The more established stone was evacuated to Priory Park in Southend where it remains today.
The line, known as the Yantlet Line, between the Crow Stone and the London Stone, Yantlet Creek, relatively due south on the other bank of the Thames is utilized as the eastern limit of the ward of the Port of London Authority. Chalkwell railroad station is situated here, and in addition Chalkwell Park, which has beforehand played home to Essex County Cricket Club matches. At the 2001 UK statistics, the Chalkwell constituent ward had a populace of 9,207, expanding to 10,045 at the 2011 Census.
