About Bodmin
Bodmin is a civil parish and historic town in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is arranged south-west of Bodmin Moor. The degree of the common ward relates decently nearly to that of the town so is for the most part urban in character. It is flanked toward the east via Cardinham ward, toward the southeast by Lanhydrock area, toward the southwest and west by Lanivet ward, and toward the north by Helland area. Bodmin had a populace of 14,736 as of the 2011 Census. It was previously the region town of Cornwall until the point that the Crown Courts moved to Truro which is likewise the regulatory focus.
Bodmin was in the regulatory North Cornwall District until nearby government redesign in 2009 abrogated the District. The town is a piece of the North Cornwall parliamentary voting demographic, or, in other words Scott Mann MP. Bodmin Town Council is comprised of sixteen councilors who are chosen to serve a term of four years. Every year, the Council chooses one of its number as Mayor to fill in as the town's urban pioneer and to seat gathering gatherings.
