Blairgowrie

Blairgowrie is a twin burgh in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Locals discuss with the metropolis as Blair. Blairgowrie is the larger of the two former burghs which were united by using an Act of Parliament in 1928 and lies at the southwest side of the River Ericht whilst Rattray is at the northeast side. Rattray claims to be the older and simply Old Rattray, the location spherical Rattray Kirk, dates returned to the 12th century. New Rattray, the vicinity alongside the Boat Brae and Balmoral Road dates from 1777 while the River become spanned by way of the Brig Blair. The metropolis lies on the north facet of Strathmore.

Blairgowrie and Rattray developed over the centuries on the crossroads of several ancient routes with links from the city to Perth, Coupar Angus, Alyth and Braemar. The roads to Coupar Angus and Braemar form part of General Wade's military street from Perth to Fort George. The city's centrepiece is the Wellmeadow, a grassy triangle within the center of city which hosts regular markets and out of doors enjoyment.
