Berkeley Hunt

The Berkeley Hunt was founded in 12 century by the berkeley family and is situated in the west of England. Its country lies in Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, between Gloucester and Bristol.

Being one of the most established pack in the nation and is one of the not very many that are still family claimed and the property of the Berkeley family. The Fifth Earl of Berkeley could chase his dogs from Berkeley Castle to Berkeley Square in London and had six pet hotels along the course.

The season would begin in Berkeley and advance to each of his pet hotels to London and afterward in stages back again to Gloucestershire. The present pet hotels date from the mid eighteenth century and are home to around 90 dogs.
