About Bath Postal Museum
The Shower Postal Historical center is in Shower, Somerset, Britain.
The exhibition hall was established in 1979 by Audrey and Harold Swindells in the cellar of their home in Extraordinary Pulteney Road
. In 1985, it moved to a home in Wide Street.This was the site of Shower's primary Mail station from 1822 to 1854 and the working in which the main recorded posting of a Penny Dark occurred on 2 May 1840.
It has been assigned by English Legacy as a level II recorded building.
The exhibition hall's accumulations include: memoirs of key figures required with the improvement of the Mail station and associated with Shower, for example, Ralph Allen, John Palmer and Thomas Moore Musgrave; a past filled with the post from 2000BC to the present day and a background marked by the English postbox
