Bankfield Museum
About Bankfield Museum
Bankfield Museum hall is a review II recorded noteworthy house historical center, fusing a regimental gallery and materials display in Stall town, Halifax, Britain.
It is striking for its past possession and improvement by Colonel Edward Akroyd, MP, and its great inside. The wide overhang and reasonable confronted stone give the building an Italianate appearance.
The pillared and encased passageway campaign was initially an open porte-cochere or secured entrance-path for carriages, which would drive under the stone shelter for the travelers to land.
The stupendous staircase is marble, and the enhancements are enlivened by the frescoes of Pompeii and Herculaneum, in spite of the fact that the divider plan at the base of the stairs seems, by all accounts, to be Egyptian recovery.
The lounge area is currently the transitory presentation exhibition. It has an established style marble chimney and a mortar frieze including the imperial emblem.
