Andover

Andover is a town in the English region of Hampshire. The town is on the River Anton exactly 18 miles 29 km west of the town of Basingstoke, 15 miles 24 km north-west of the city of Winchester, 25 miles 40 km north of the city of Southampton and 65 miles 105 km south west of London. Andover is twinned with the towns of Redon in France, Goch in Germany, and Andover, Massachusetts in the United States. The Andover Vision is an association between nearby boards, neighborhood associations and neighborhood organizations. The Vision is a 20-year plan that was propelled in 2007 and means to enhance the lives of nearby individuals by enhancing the town in four primary zones. Those regions are the same old thing and endeavor, training for all, wellbeing and prosperity and energetic support.

Watermills have had a vital influence in Andover's history. The Domesday Book of 1086 gives the soonest record of watermills in Andover, which recognizes six plants. Rooksbury Mill is one of only a handful few surviving plant structures in Andover. The presence of Rooksbury Mill is first recorded by name in the seventeenth century. Working as a flour process, it has gone through a progression of proprietors. Processing stopped in the mid twentieth century, after which the factory building experienced a progression of employments including being utilized as a little theater.
