Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet
About Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet
Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet is a modern historical center in the south of the City of Sheffield, England. The historical center structures some portion of a previous steel-working site on the River Sheaf, with a history backpedaling to at any rate the thirteenth century.
It involves different homes and workshops that were some time prior the Abbeydale Works—a sickle making plant that was in operation until the 1930s—and is an astoundingly add up to instance of a nineteenth century works.
The works are atypical in that a significant part of the creation procedure was finished on a similar site. A more average case of water-fueled works in the region can be found at Shepherd Wheel.
The site is a planned antiquated landmark, the works are Grade I recorded and the laborers' cabins, checking house, and administrator's home are Grade II recorded.
