Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art is a gallery of Fine Arts on Pushkin road in Odessa, Ukraine.
The historical center was established in 1923 and it is housed in a royal residence that was developed in the vicinity of 1856 and 1858 to a plan by the designer L.Otton.
The gallery's gathering was made from already private accumulations that were enlarged by antiques from the City Museum of Fine Arts and the University of Odessa.
Its storerooms ended up known when two tronies by the painter Frans Hals were found moping there in 1958 by Irina Linnik, who remembered them as the lost works of art by Hals of the evangelists Luke and Matthew.
