Krasnodon

Krasnodon is a city in Luhansk Oblast of japanese Ukraine. It is integrated as a town of oblast significance and serves because the administrative center of Krasnodon Raion, though it does not belong to the raion. Its population is about 43,683. Population of Krasnodon in 1972 become 70,400, in 1989 it changed into round 53,000, in 2001 it became 49,921. In 2016 the city changed into renamed into Sorokyne as part of decommunization in Ukraine.

The city's call trade technique is briefly suspended as it isn't managed via the authorities of Ukraine. Krasnodon was installed in 1914 along the banks of the Velyka Kamyanka, a tributary of the Seversky Donets River, as the settlement of Sorokino. It quickly have become one of the facilities of the coal mining enterprise of the Donbass area. By the Decision of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the U.S., on 28 October 1938 it become renamed to Krasnodon.
