About Iversky Monastery
The Iversky Monastery changed into a monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Donetsk, Ukraine. It was built among 1997 and 2001, and changed into closed in 2014 due to the War in Donbass. The monastery changed into in large part destroyed by Ukrainian Ground Forces shelling during the Second Battle of Donetsk Airport in January 2015. The first stone of the Iversky Monastery changed into laid down by Hilarion in April 1997. The monastery was built on a vacant plot in northern Donetsk, close to the airport.
The monastery changed into opened in December 2001, and it become a subsidiary of the Monastery of St. Nicholas in Nikolskoye before it has become impartial in December 2002. The monastery turned into seriously broken at some point of the War in Donbass. The sisters evacuated the monastery in 2014. In January 2015, the constructing was shelled through the Ukrainian Ground Forces whilst combating the Donetsk People's Republic at some stage in the Second Battle of Donetsk Airport.
