About Annunciation Cathedral
The Annunciation Cathedral is the main Orthodox church of Kharkiv, Ukraine. The pentacupolar Neo-Byzantine structure with an unmistakable 80-meter-tall chime tower was finished on October 2, 1888, from outlines by a neighborhood draftsman, Mikhail Lovtsov. The congregation was sanctified in 1901, and the prior Annunciation church was then pulled down.
