Popular dance forms of Tuvalu

There is no dearth of entertainment in the excellent Tuvalu country. Dancing plays a major role in keeping the spirits of the localities high and rejuvenated and can be described "as a musical microcosm of Polynesia, where both traditional and contemporary styles co-exist. Tuvaluns just go out of control while getting entertained from Fatele, Fakanau and Fakaseasea, which are well-known traditional forms of dancing and are mainly performed on the auspicious occasions like welcoming special guests, inauguration of building, for their wealth or celebrating holidays. However, the rapturous Fakanau dance has since died out, but had a rhythm which was much quicker than those of modern world Fatelele and the Fakaseasea.
