About Yalova Ataturk Mansion
Yalova Ataturk Mansion is a mansion constructed for and used by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk during his visits to the thermal facilities in Yalova at Marmara Region, Turkey. Currently, the building is owned by means of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and is partially open to public as a residence museum. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk visited Yalova first in 1927. He went there in summer months for the local thermal facilities. During his visits, he stayed in a timber pavilion in Baltaci Farm subsequent to the thermal bathtub, which was constructed inside the 19th century by Sultan Abdulhamid II. Ataturk commissioned the construction of a mansion for himself in Millet Farm.
Designed with the aid of the architect Sedat Hakki EldemIt, it become completed in 1929. The mansion become to start with known as Millet Farm Mansion after the farm's call in which it was built. The at the start wooden mansion was renovated later. The two-story constructing has 3 VIP lounges and 11 rooms. It is geared up with furnitures added from Dolmabahce Palace. Ataturk spent summer season months in this mansion. He invited tremendous Turkish singers and musicians such as Safiye Ayla and Munir Nurettin Selcuk to perform concerts on Turkish classical song. The idea to establish the Turkish Historical Society and the Turkish Language Association changed into evolved at this website.
