About Walls of Trabzon
The Walls of Trabzon are a progression of guarded dividers encompassing the old town of the city of Trabzon, northeastern Turkey. The fortresses are now and then called the Trabzon Castle. Notwithstanding, they didn't work as a château, rather as city dividers. Built on establishments going back to the Roman time with cut stones from previous structures at site, the dividers extend from the slope on the rear of the old town to the Black Sea shore. The dividers additionally separated the city into three sections; the Upper Town or "stronghold", the Middle Town and the Lower Town. The upper and center towns are flanked by soak gorges cut by the Zagnos and Tabakhane streams toward the west and east individually, while the lower town stretches out toward the west of Zagnos.
The Upper Town worked as the bastion and as the acropolis of the city. It is trusted that the fortification was worked as the principal development in 2000 BC. Some early sources notice the presence of remains of structures, for example, hippodrome, tower, shower and castle. The fortress experienced different adjustments in the history. The dividers of the Upper Fortress are higher than of alternate parts. It is invigorated in the south with higher and thicker dividers and towers. Amid the Roman time frame a water channel was worked to supply the Upper Town with a freshwater source. The Upper Town was available through a twofold door with the Middle Town.
