About Uzunkum Nature Park
Uzunkum Nature Park is a nature stop proclaimed waterfront zone in Kocaeli Province, northwestern Turkey. Uzunkum, truly long sandy shoreline, is situated at Black Sea east of Cebeci town in Kandira region of Kocaeli Province. The territory was announced a nature stop by the Ministry of Environment and Forest in 2014. The nature stop comprises of the parts, the sandy shoreline in the north and forested slope. It covers a zone of 235 ha.
The nature stop offers outside recreational exercises like climbing, swimming, surfing and angling. The vegetation of the nature stop comprises of the imperiled ocean daffodil, Syrian juniper, juniper, Valonia oak, laurel, oak, hornbeam, basic ash, cedar, cypress, willow, rose hip, buxus, European cornel, spurge, Cercis, pilewort, Crocus, trefoi, hemp and assorted green growth species. The nature is environment for the well evolved creatures fox, jackal, bunny, beaver, badger, peaked porcupine, the reptile tortoise, the feathered creature species woodcock, quail, gull, dark cormorant, francolin, partridge, regular blackbird, kingfisher and owl.
