About Ulus
Ulus is a quarter in Ankara, Turkey and is situated at the focal point of the capital city. It was at one time the core of old Ankara. The name signifies "country" in Turkish. It is currently a predominately a business and traveler zone made up of banks, shopping centers, shops, inns, organizations, eateries, and numerous recorded destinations. The main Turkish Grand National Assembly gathered here in 1923 in the parliament working at Ulus Square, which still stands in unique. Opposite the recorded parliament building is the city's most established lodging, the Ankara Palas, where Ataturk had remained.
Ankara Citadel, another verifiable fascination, is found prompt east of Ulus. In the focal point of Ulus Square, there is a dedication called Monument of Republic, which was raised in 1927 as an image of the Turkish War of Independence. The Statue of Victory at Ulus Square was delineated on the turn around of the Turkish 2½ lira banknote of 1939-1952 and of the 50 lira banknotes of 1951-1979. A shopping center arranged alongside Ulus square was liable to a fear based oppressor besieging on 22 May 2007.
