About Sungurlu
Sungurlu is the largest and wealthiest district of Corum Province in the Black Sea Region of Turkey, located 72 km south-west of the city of Corum. The populace is around 59,283, of which 34,159 live in the town of Sungurlu. The leader is Abdulkadir Sahiner MHP. Sungurlu is on the principle street from the Turkish capital Ankara to the Black Sea city of Samsun, and is a prominent stop for soup or tidbits, including Corum's renowned cooked chick peas leblebi, when voyaging that course by transport.
Sungurlu has been settled by Hittites, Assyrians, Phrygians, Cimmerians, Alexander the Great, Galatians, Ancient Romans and Pontic Greeks. Following the annihilation of Byzantium by the Turks at the clash of Malazgirt in 1071, the territory was settled by Danishmend rulers. A considerable lot of Turkey's driving socks producers are from Sungurlu. There is a check tower in the town, worked in 1891. You can visit this place with your loved ones.
