About Sanliurfa Museum
Sanliurfa Museum is an archeological exhibition hall in Sanliurfa, Turkey. It is situated at 11 Nisan Fuar Caddesi, Sanliurfa over the Sanliurfa Piazza Mall. In this Museum, discoveries from the encompassing zone, i.e., from Gobekli Tepe or Harran, and from the Southeastern Anatolia Project are shown.
The new exhibition hall initiated in 2015 has 3 stories and spreads 2,500 square meters of indoor space. The old historical center situated at Camlik Caddesi was opened in 1969 with a presentation zone of 1500 sq. m. Later on extensions were included. Prior to that, archeological finds were shown in the rooms of the Sehit-Nusret-primary school, along these lines in Ataturk-grade school.
