Safranbolu

Safranbolu is a town and area of Karabuk Province operating at a profit Sea locale of Turkey. It is around 9 km north of the city of Karabük, 200 kilometers or 120 mi north of Ankara and around 100 km south of the Black Sea drift. The town's memorable names in Greek were Theodoroupolis. Its previous names in Turkish were Zalifre and Tarakliborlu. It was a piece of Kastamonu Province until 1923 and Zonguldak Province somewhere in the range of 1923 and 1995. As indicated by the 2000 statistics, the number of inhabitants in the locale was 47,257, of which 31,697 lived in the town of Safranbolu. The region covers a territory of 1,000 km² or 386 sq mi, and the town lies at a height of 485 m or 1,591 ft.

The Old Town jam numerous memorable structures, with 1008 enrolled chronicled relics. The name of the town gets from "saffron" and the Greek word polis signifying "city", since Safranbolu was an exchanging place and an inside for developing saffron.
