Rize is the capital city of Rize Province in the eastern piece of the Black Sea Region of Turkey. The previously composed notice of Rize is made by Arrian in a work named Periplus of the Euxine Sea, as a city established at the mouth of the homonymous waterway. Dated at 130– 131 AD and composed as a letter to Roman Emperor Hadrian, the work records how its creator, the legislative leader of Cappadocia, made an investigation voyage through the Eastern Black Sea domains that were a piece of his ward, first visiting the Roman Empire's Eastern Anatolian outskirts armies before pushing on to the Black Sea drift in the Trabzon district.

The city was asserted by the brief Democratic Republic of Georgia somewhere in the range of 1918 and 1920. Based on the 1921 Treaty of Kars, Soviet Russia conceded Rize to Turkey similarly as alternate regions of Artvin, Ardahan, and Hopa.
Rize is a tranquil town, an average Turkish commonplace capital with little in the method for night life or amusement. Anyway the outskirt with Georgia has been open since the mid 90's, the Black Sea drift street has been broadened and Rize is currently wealthier than in earlier decades; there are more autos in the avenues, higher structures on the ocean front, and a few spots for youngsters to go are opening up now.
