About Pasaoglu Mansion and Ethnography Museum
Pasaoglu Mansion and Ethnography Museum is placed on the centre of the city, Ordu on Boztepe Road. This glorious structure became constructed through Pashaoglu Huseyin Efendi well known as richest and noble man or woman in Ordu in 1896. It emphasizes the Ottoman famous history each its structure and the substances belonging to length therefore, the marvelous constructing provides to the visitors a slice of Ottoman Life. Whenever they come into here, the vacationers make a historical journey, thanks to the essential environment of the mansion.
At the start it become used as a mansion but later it become become a totally unique museum; expropriated in 1982 via Museums of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the General Directorate of Historical Works, Pasaoglu Mansion restored in 1983. It was opened to the public to be used as Pasaoglu Konagi and Ethnography Museum on 18 November 1987 while the recuperation and exhibition arrangements were finished. This mythical constructing has a great stonemasonry that is among the registered works. It covers the location of 625 m² collectively with the garden. The stones of this notable mansion have been come from Unye, district of Ordu even as tiles and the wooden parts of the building had been added from Romania. Various craftsmen from Istanbul contributed to its construction.
