About Mudurnu
Mudurnu is a residential community and a locale of Bolu Province operating at a profit Sea area of Turkey, 52 km south-west of the city of Bolu. It covers a region of 1,349 km², and the populace is 20,528 of which 4,936 live in the town of Mudurnu. As of 2010, the leader was Mehmet Inegol.
The town has a long history and the name Mudurnu originates from the Byzantine princess Modrene, and the vestiges of the Byzantine palace can at present be seen over the town. In the 8th century AD, the powers of the Byzantine usurper Artabasdos, told by his child Niketas, were vanquished at or close to this area by the armed force of the genuine ruler Constantine V, before being crushed again at Chrysopolis, a similar area where Constantine the Great vanquished his Eastern opponent Licinius.
In the late 19th and mid 20th century, Mudurnu was a piece of the Kastamonu Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire. This is an alluring locale of woods and mountain. Mudurnu itself is an authentic town with ious all around safeguarded Ottoman Empire period houses. A bit of the focal point of town has been pronounced a Historic Preservation District. In 1920, amid the Nationalists' push to pick up command over the nation, Ibrahim Colak with the Kuva-yi Milliye blockaded powers faithful to the Porte for three days, May 13 to 15, preceding taking the town.
