Mihalgazi, once in the past Gumele, is a town and locale of Eskisehir Province operating at a profit Sea Anatolia district of Turkey. As per 2010 statistics, populace of the region is 3,876 of which 1,730 live in the town of Mihalgazi. The locale covers a territory of 131 km², and the town lies at a normal rise of 328 m. It fringes Inhisar toward the west, Yenipazar toward the northwest, Saricakaya toward the east and Tepebasi toward the south. Mihalgazi has four wards and five towns. Alpagut and Sakarilica, who are 2 of these towns, have a district. It is 35 km far from Eskisehir. It was a piece of Eskisehir sanjak between 1292-second half of 15th century.
It is limited to Inhisar nahiya in Sogut township of Bilecik sanjak between 1894-1923. It was a piece of Sogut locale of Bilecik Province between 1923-1946 and turned into a township and changed her name as Mihalgazi in 1927 after People of Gumele shocked assaults of Greeks troops, who walked from Sogut and Eskisehir amid Turkish War of Independence in 1921. It is limited to Central District of Eskisehir Province in 1946 and Saricakaya locale of her in 1958. It had a region in 1967. It is well known with hot spring in Sakarilica.
