About Mersin Naval Museum
Mersin Naval Museum is a maritime exhibition hall in Mersin, Turkey. Mersin is one of the vital ports of Turkey. The Turkish Navy chose to build up a maritime exhibition hall there and development started on 16 September 2009. The Mersin Naval Museum is the fourth maritime historical center in Turkey after those of Istanbul, Canakkale. It was opened to open on 14 July 2011. In the 400 square meters principle corridor, protests, for example, regalia, weapons, verifiable fight send models and works of art about imperative fights and pictures of chiefs of naval operations, for example, Caka Bey, Umur Bey, Piri Reis and Cezayirli Gazi Hasan Pasha are shown.
In the intelligent showcase lobby the guests can watch recordings of the cruiser Hamidye, the Mahmudiye, the Battle of Preveza and Hayreddin Barbarossa, the minelayer Nusret, and the cruiser Yavuz. Greater military gear, for example, radar, torpedoes, and so forth are shown in the historical center's yard. The exhibition hall is situated in the Yenisehir region of Mersin. It is on Adnan Menderes Bouled and around 100 meters to the Mediterranean Sea side. The Mugdat Mosque is toward the upper east of the historical center. Its aggregate territory is 8,044 square meters. The ground territory of the building is 1,850 square meters .
