About Marmaraereglisi
Marmara Ereglisi is a town, situated in a locale bearing a similar name, in Tekirdag Province in the Marmara area of Turkey. The leader was, as of January 2011, Uyan. The town, initially a Samian state, was established as Perinthos, in English generally referred to by its Latinized frame as Perinthus. In around 300 AD, it was given the name of Heraclea. It was manufactured amphitheater-like on the slope of a cape reaching out into the Sea of Marmara, near where the cutting edge town stands.
Its port and its situation at the intersection of a few ocean courses, made it a town of business significance. At an early date, as per convention in the Apostolic Age, Heraclea turned into a Christian priestly district. As capital of the Roman region of Europa, it was the metropolitan see for every one of the ministerial offices of the territory, including Byzantium, which in 330 moved toward becoming Constantinople. Later on, Byzantine Emperor Justinian I would reestablish its water systems and palace.
The see of Constantinople before long gotten predominance over Heraclea. In any case, Heraclea was perceived in the Notitia Episcopatuum of Pseudo-Epiphanius as having five suffragan sees Panium, Callipolis, Chersonesus in Europa, Coela, and Rhaedestus. A mid tenth century Notitia Episcopatuum ascribed to Leo VI the Wise records the suffragans as 15 and another, dating from 1022– 1025, puts them at 17. With the development of the Ottoman triumphs, the quantity of suffragans was extremely decreased. In the mid 20th century, despite everything it had two suffragans.
