About Mardin Museum
Mardin Museum is a museum in Mardin, Turkey. The museum is to the north of the Cumhuriyet Street. The former museum of Mardin became in Zincirli Medrese, a building built through the Artukids inside the 14th century. The gift museum was opened in 1995. The museum constructing changed into built by means of an Assyrian patriarchate in 1895. In the 20th century except being a non secular workplace, the building become used for numerous offerings. The Ministry of Culture bought the constructing and after recovery it become opened as a museum in 1995.
The building turned into made from reduce limestone. There are precise adorns on the inner and external vaults, arches, rails and column heads. It is a three-storey constructing. Reception, convention, exhibition and resting halls are within the ground floor. The ethnography hall and library are in the upper floor. The uppermost floor is reserved for administrative workplaces and the archaeology segment. Mardin location and in particular Midyat ilce is thought for silver works in the ethnography corridor, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, anklets, diadems, hair rings and copper and silver adorns are exhibited. There are also garments, swords, prayer beads, and coffee units. You can visit this place with your loved ones.
