About Kaymakli Monastery
Kaymakli Monastery is a destroyed Armenian Apostolic religious community close Trabzon, Turkey. The religious community initially incorporated a congregation, a chime tower at the northwest corner, and a little house of prayer close to the southeast corner. The primary church is rectangular in shape, with three naves and three apses. The primary apse is pentagonal. The establishing date for the congregation isn't clear, however is accepted to have been based on an enduring parts of a 12-thirteenth century Greek church on the site. The first top of the principle church was made of timber and had fallen-in by 1929.
