About Inebolu
Inebolu is a town and region of the Kastamonu Province operating at a profit Sea locale of Turkey. It is 590 km or 367 mi from Istanbul by street and 89 km or 55 mi north of Kastamonu. The name was changed to Ionopolis amidst the second century CE. After some time, the name "Ionopolis" transformed to "Inepolis", and afterward to "Inebolu."
By 1834, Inebolu was viewed as a sub-region of the present city of Kure approx. 30 km or 19 mi inland, however it turned into a locale in its own privilege in 1867. In the late 19th and mid 20th century, Inebolu was a piece of the Kastamonu Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire. Amid the Turkish War of Independence, arms and ammo were exchanged to Anatolia through Inebolu. The town was assaulted and guarded itself with assurance, for which it was regarded with the Independence Medal by the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
