Inebolu

Inebolu is a town and region of the Kastamonu Province operating at a profit Sea locale of Turkey. It is 590 km or 367 mi from Istanbul by street and 89 km or 55 mi north of Kastamonu. It is a commonplace Black Sea port town with many fine precedents of customary household engineering. As indicated by the 2000 registration, populace of the region is 26,848 of which 9,486 live in the town of Inebolu. The region covers a region of 302 km or 2 117 mi, and the town lies at a rise of 120 m or 394 ft. The correct establishing date of Inebolu is obscure. Inebolu was at first called Aboniteichos. The name was changed to Ionopolis amidst the second century CE. After some time, the name "Ionopolis" transformed to "Inepolis", and afterward to "Inebolu."

By 1834, Inebolu was viewed as a sub-region of the present city of Kure approx. 30 km or 19 mi inland, however it turned into a locale in its own privilege in 1867. In the late 19^th and mid 20^th century, Inebolu was a piece of the Kastamonu Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire.
