About Incirliova
Incirliova is a town and a locale of Aydin Province, in the Aegean area of Turkey, 10 km west of the city of Aydin. Some time ago known as "Karapinar" the name was changed in 1937 to Incirliova meaning, actually, "the valley of figs", in reference to the organic product ficus carica, some time ago called Smyrna figs in whose creation the region of Aydin exceeds expectations. The territory has changed hands commonly since the beginning, from the Hittites in the 13th century BC through the Phrygians, Lydians, Ionians, Persians, Alexander the Great, Ancient Rome and Byzantium. The Turkish settlement here was established in the 15th century by the Madanoglu family and as it was all around watered was designated "Karapinar".
The Karapinar zone extremely created with the working of the Izmir-Aydin railroad, established by a British organization to guarantee another wellspring of cotton amid the world lack caused by the American Civil War. Following the railroad came different enterprises including the turning of cotton and the extraction of olive oil and the encompassing wetlands were depleted to make more land for planting. Incirliova itself is today a residential community of 18,000 individuals, on the Izmir– Aydin roadway and a station on the Izmir-Aydin railroad. This region of the Buyuk Menderes valley is exceptionally ripe and Incirliova is a rural region.
