About Divrigi Great Mosque and Hospital
Divrigi Great Mosque and Hospital is an elaborately enhanced mosque and doctor's facility complex inherent 1228 to 1229 by the nearby administration of the Mengujekids in the little Anatolian town of Divrigi, now in Sivas Province, Turkey. The complex is situated in the upper town, beneath the bastion. The building complex comprises of a mosque which abuts the healing facility with which it shares its southern, qibla divider.
The principle access to the mosque is on the northern side and is set apart by a tall entry which is commended for the quality and thickness of its high-help stone cutting. A passage on the western side might be from a later date as this exterior of the mosque had crumpled and was modified at a later date when it was likewise reinforced by a round support on the north-western corner. A third access to the mosque is situated on the eastern exterior. This passage seems to have filled in as an illustrious passageway which offered access to the brought wooden stage up in the southeastern corner of the mosque's inside, saved for the ruler and his company.
