About Anamur
Anamur is a town and locale of the territory of Mersin, on the Mediterranean shoreline of southern Turkey, among Antalya and the city of Mersin. Anamur is Anatolia's southernmost point, a seaside resort well known for its bananas and peanuts. The neighborhood economy relies upon agribusiness, particularly bananas and strawberries. The climate here is, exceptionally hot and this is the main piece of Turkey that can maintain bananas, there are banana plants all over the place and now other tropical natural products, for example, papaya, pineapples and avocados are being planted here as well.
Mamure Castle, the medieval palace, all around safeguarded, around 7 km or 4 mi south east of Anamur. Initially worked by the Romans in the 3rd or 4th century AD, it was amplified by the Byzantine Empire and the Crusaders. After the Seljuk Turkish Sultan ‘Ala' advertisement Din Kay-Qubad caught the mansion in 1221, he had it remade in its present frame. It comprises of 3 patios with 39 towers, encompassed by a channel. In one yard there is an antiquated mosque with a minaret – worked by Mahmud Bey of Karaman in 1300-1308, which is as yet open for supplication. There are the vestiges of a bathhouse on the country side. The stronghold is in 2 segments with 2 lines of defenses between them, a walkway along the bulwarks interfaces the opposite sides.
